Re: Etherpad or other web-based real-time collaborative editor

If I remember correctly, Etherpad (which I have used) was purchased by
Google and I assume is partly behind how Google Apps now show real time
collaboration as docs are being edited.

Google Apps are free to K-12 schools, and I have no issues with their
privacy policies.

We're happy Google Apps users.
